In this workshop, you’ll explore what mentoring is and the differences between directive and non-directive approaches. You’ll learn essential mentoring skills and how to set up mentoring meetings that are structured, purposeful and engaging for both you and your mentee.
Build Strong Mentoring Foundations
You’ll learn about the importance of a mentoring contract, what it should include and how to create one that sets the stage for a successful relationship. We’ll also cover practical tips for the initial meeting and how to adapt your style to meet your mentee’s needs.
Practise Key Mentoring Skills
You’ll practise active listening and questioning techniques, learn how to give constructive feedback, and develop strategies for addressing difficult issues. Role-plays and feedback will help you refine your skills and create an action plan to further develop as a mentor.
