Justin Standfield, Managing Director & Principal Consultant
Justin is Incendo’s Managing Director and principal consultant. With an organisational development background gained over 22 years in a range of sectors in the UK and internationally, he has acquired extensive consultancy and facilitation experience of all stages of the development cycle. He has designed and delivered a range of learning interventions for diverse audiences from CEOs to leaders in the armed forces, from air traffic controllers to midwives.
In recent years, Justin has specialised in helping organisations with a range of change initiatives. His work in this area has included diagnostic activities, consultancy and the design of bespoke programmes to equip people with the approaches required to succeed within cultures that require commitment, resilience and flexibility. Within this work, he’s able to draw on his own experience of operating in senior management positions.
Justin is a Fellow of the Learning & Performance Institute (LPI) and is passionate about continuous personal and professional development. He has a particular interest in the corporate application of mindfulness, Appreciative Inquiry and the ‘soul-friendly business’ concept – all fuelled by a limitless fascination with people, behaviour and human motivation. He’s also on a personal mission to eradicate Death By PowerPoint from all UK training rooms!
Justin is available to book as a conference speaker, covering topics such as leadership, resilience, happiness and motivation.
Meryl Shearwood, Personal Assistant
Before joining the team here at Incendo, Meryl worked within a number of roles in the financial services sector. The investment world is extremely fast paced, with everything constantly changing and no day being the same – which gave Meryl plenty of opportunity to hone her excellent communication, prioritisation and organisation skills.
Meryl works closely with Justin to organise training programmes, conferences and other events. Acting as a first point of contact, she liaises with Incendo’s clients, suppliers and partners.
Lucy, Staff Morale Officer
Lucy is very much the office lynchpin at Incendo HQ. She prides herself on establishing immediate rapport with people and works hard to maintain lasting connections with all clients that meet her. She has a range of duties which she fulfils with a positive attitude; these include morale boosting, cushion testing and biscuit tasting. Lucy is also responsible for monitoring the office aquarium at Incendo HQ.
Although she doesn’t possess any formal qualifications in the field of Organisational Development, Lucy’s pedigree can be traced back to the early 1930s.
Consultants & Coaches
The wider Incendo team is made up of a group of trusted, high-calibre professionals with relevant experience, expertise and qualifications in their particular field of people development. Each individual brings something unique to Incendo and our clients with whom they work, yet everyone works in a way that honours our core values consistently.
From time to time, a different member of our team will be spotlighted below.
Spotlight on…
Soraya Robertson, Executive Coach & Organisational Development Consultant
Soraya has an inspiring way of helping others to discover the possibilities that exist when they feel ready for change. A firm believer in the potential inside each of us, Soraya has a wonderful combination of an outcome focused nature, empathetic heart, and enquiring mind. She helps her clients make change and achieve their goals by working with them to discover their ‘why’, their ‘what’ and supports them to define and implement the ‘how ‘of integrating positive change for the long term.
No stranger to the business world, Soraya has held several leadership positions both in the UK and as part of European teams. As well as being a coach for individuals and leadership teams, her applied technical skills and capabilities have extended across talent and organisational development, corporate communications, change management, benefits management and service improvement. Soraya can detach to be objective and she has felt first-hand the paradoxes, issues and excitement of leadership and management – this makes her hugely credible and empathetic with Incendo’s clients.
Soraya is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Disability Confident
We’re a ‘Disability Confident’ Employer
The Disability Confident scheme was developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to help organisations successfully employ and retain disabled people and those with health conditions. The scheme is voluntary and access to the guidance, self-assessments and resources is completely free. There are 3 Disability Confident levels within the scheme – these are:
- Disability Confident Committed (level 1)
- Disability Confident Employer (level 2)
- Disability Confident Leader (level 3)
Incendo Development Ltd is a Disability Confident Employer (level 2). In essence, level 2 of the scheme is about getting the right people for your business, and keeping and developing those people; we believe that by being Disability Confident it gives small businesses like Incendo a unique opportunity to lead the way in their community, regardless of the size of your company.
